ABOUT ME
I used to be a chef! That was pretty awesome, and I learnt loads of cool stuff. However, I was always more inspired by the natural world. One example, when I was working for Rick Stein in Padstow, I spent nearly all my free time at the lobster hatchery down the road! What's more, I've since gone back to the hatchery to study behaviour in their lobster juveniles. Destiny.
This might also sound surprising but my bachelors was in Chemistry! I was and still very much am fascinated by three dimensional geometry (any relation to bird flocks for example...?), but now focussing on my beloved animals and their behaviour!
I'm currently living in Penryn with my partner and our two kids, and working at University of Exeter. I have found my academic work to be undoubtedly the most rewarding job and lifestyle I have encountered, and I owe it all to the amazing people around me.
